NEW: AHF Joins Optimux Team in Australia and Southeast Asia
We are pleased to announce that the AHF group of companies has signed on to represent Optimux in Australia, Korea and parts of Southeast Asia. With offices in Perth, Gold Coast, Seoul, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur, the group has extensive experience and a sterling reputation in providing a wide array of customers with high-quality valve solutions and service.
Ranging from harsh mining applications in Australia to challenging FPSO production in Malaysia, Optimux control valves have an established presence in the region. Now, AHF engineering, service and sales forces will be there to provide area users with a vast and immediate Optimux support network.
Moreover, from April 10th to 12th in Singapore, AHF Industries hosted an Optimux flow control solutions and product training. Employees from all AHF offices attended the intensive program, conducted by Optimux President, Jaime Conesa, and designed to familiarize the representatives with the differentiating technical features of an expanded Optimux product line.

New Optimux and Yamatake Products Unveiled at Mexico's EXPODUCTOS 2008
Optimux Distributor, Prooil de Mexico S.A. de C.V, was a key participant at this year’s EXPODUCTOS trade show in Villahermosa, Mexico from March 4th through 7th.
Mexico’s petroleum industry insiders were treated to interactive demonstrations of Optimux control valves working in conjunction with Yamatake field instruments.
Both Optimux and Yamatake took advantage of the occasion to unveil new products. Optimux introduced the OpTE control valve, a triple-eccentric butterfly valve with a leading edge rack & gear actuator. The OpTE is ideally suited for use on marine platforms, natural gas plants, and water treatment plants. Yamatake introduced a new generation of transmitters, the GTX Series, as well as a new hybrid digital positioner, the AVP 304, which offers simultaneous 4-20 mA and FieldBus communications.
The Prooil booth included a fully operational display of Optimux and Yamatake control valves, giving show attendees the chance to test several functions live, including calibrating the HPP 3000 positioner in less than three minutes, using the popular auto-calibration feature.
Optimux Adds Two Valve Series:
The BV and DX
In order to better serve the needs of our customers, Optimux is pleased to introduce the BV Trunnion Type Valve Series, along with three new eccentric models designed to complement the DX High Performance Butterfly Valve Series.
The flagship of the BV Series will be the OpBV, a full and reduced port trunnion type valve available in 2'' to 40'' and 150# to 1500#. Current agreements with leading suppliers of rack & pinion electric actuators and electro-hydraulic actuators, together with our highly competetive line of digital positioners (the HPP3000 and HPP3500), now allow us to provide a complete offering for quarter-turn process solutions.
Along with the new BV Series, the High Performance Butterfly DX Series now includes three new valve models: the OpSE (Single Eccentric), OpDE (Double Eccentric), and OpTE (Triple Eccentric). The newly revamped series will meet a broader spectrum of customer needs: from a cost-effective single eccentric butterfly valve to a high-performance fire-proof triple eccentric valve - an excellent fit for Oil & Gas applications.
Optimux sales engineers are now prepared to quote these new valves and preliminary technical specifications are available upon request.

Featured Product: Yamatake Model GTX Smart Transmitter
Yamatake recently introduced its next-generation GTX Smart Transmitter to rave reviews at several industrial trade shows around the world.
The new transmitter offers higher performance and reliability, guaranteeing +-0.1% of URL stability for ten years; significantly reducing the need for calibration once the device is installed.
Furthermore, Yamatake has succeeded in attaining a turn-down ratio of 200:1, allowing the GTX to be used in a much broader range of control process applications. Its safe design complies with the IEC61058 standard, certified according to safety integrity level 2 (SiL2).
Lastly, the GTX features an astounding response time of under 100msec, making it an ideal candidate for applications where this is an issue, for instance for pressure control in turbines.
Optimux Standardizes Latest Control Valve Designs
If you are not yet a user of Optimux Control valves, ask yourself when the last time was that your current control valve supplier introduced an innovative design change which increased your plant efficiency and lowered your operational costs.
Our factory design engineers have incorporated many of the advanced features already included in the XL Series into the rest of our control valve product offering. These changes have resulted in better control attributes, increased productivity of our manufacturing processes, and compatibility throughout our family of products.
The Piston Cylinder Actuators, for instance, have been modified to standardize the installation of our advanced line of Digital Positioners: the HPP3000 and HPP3500. They are no longer interchangeable with previous versions of the actuators.
Optimux trims and valve bodies have also undergone engineering changes that augment the performance and reliability of the fully-assembled valves.
The end result of these various improvements is a refreshed Optimux control valve portfolio that has retained its important technological pedigree, but now offers increased value to industrial plant users everywhere.
Increased Productivity with Valstaff Field Software
Optimux now offers Yamatake Corporation's latest productivity tool that supports industrial plant decision-making regarding control valve operating conditions and maintenance programs.
The new software is compatible for usage with the full line of Optimux digital valve positioners, and supports both HART and FOUNDATION Fieldbus communication protocols. It can be utilized as a stand-alone, field software tool, in conjunction with a PC, or can be a part of a dedicated DCS system through a HART multiplexer via RS232CIRS485, or within a FOUNDATION Fieldbus system through our Smart Linking Device for ethernet connection.

NEW: Introducing the OpTE, an Optimux Triple Eccentric Butterfly Valve
The latest addition to the Optimux control valve portfolio, this triple eccentric valve was designed to be robust, versatile, and precise; providing a bi-directional, zero-leakage seal for harsh industrial processes. OpTE's disc seal connects with the body seat precisely at the instant of critical shut-off. This unique design ensures that the disc will create a perfect seal without friction.
The resulting zero-leakage seating is made possible by a unique triple-offset characteristic, which provides a resilient torque-generated seal with mutiple-point contacts. It has also been tested under extreme temperatures and is completely fireproof according to API 598.
